OCTOBER 2026 BOOK FAIR WRISTBANDS

Two years ago we had a serious issue with people bum rushing the door. Entry is by wristband order, and the wristbands change color every 50. Last year we used this new system (with. much grumbling) but it took less than 90 seconds for more than 300 people to get in the door. We appreciate your cooperation.

Wristbands for the November Sale will be officially available on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 12:01 am EST. (Right after midnight.)

The admission wristbands are numbered sequentially and entrance to the sale on Friday, October 30th (i.e., your place in line) will be by the number on your wristband.

Online wristband sales will end at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, Friday October 23rdst. 

If you order a wristband by 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, Friday, October 16th (in time for us to mail it to you), we will do so. If you’d rather we didn’t mail it, please note that and we will hold it for you at will call. Wristbands ordered online after October 16th will be available at Will Call.

You can also order wristbands by telephone. Leave a message and that will hold your place in line. Both the computer system and the voice mail are time-stamped and orders will be processed in the order they were received.

We will call you back to get your credit card number. Don’t worry if you don’t hear from us for a day or so– we are in the midst of getting ready for the sale (70 tons of books!) and it may take us a little while. The time that you first contacted us will be the time we use for the wristband order.  

Wristbands purchased in advance cost $21 each to cover the cost of handling. Admission is $20.

Wristband order will preclude any boxes, chairs, unicorns, umbrella stands or milk crates left in the line. If you are bringing helpers, please buy all the wristbands together at the same time. We can’t let them in with you if they have later wristband times than you do.

If you encounter any difficulties with the PayPal link, you can send us a message through this page, or through our Facebook page or on the telephone (937) 999-4491 and the time of your message will still be the time of your wristband order.

Please note that PayPal has gotten very fast at processing orders– last year we sold 95 wristbands in the first minute they were available.

P.S. For those of you who have attended the sale before, please note that there is no preview or party or event of any kind on Thursday night. We’re all going home early to get extra sleep. When you walk through the doors on Friday, no one will have shopped the sale before you.
